For the first time in league history, there were multiple 20-point, second-half comeback wins on the same day.

Some statement games come with an immediate echo, and Georgia was all about that bass on Saturday.

Nearly 11% of national championship tickets in college football list Georgia as the winner, and books are rapidly adjusting odds to reflect the Bulldogs are not yesterday’s news.

The reigning champions demolished South Carolina and easily covered the spread on Saturday, whipping the Gamecocks on their home field, 48-7, allowing only the mercy score late in the final quarter.

The line for Week 4 against Kent State is Georgia -44 with the total set at 59.5.

You can still get the Bulldogs at +110 to win the SEC behind Alabama (-120) at Caesars, where the national title odds as of Monday morning were Crimson Tide +200 and Georgia +210.

Georgia pulled well ahead at +175 at DraftKings, which lists Alabama at +210 and Ohio State at +275 before anyone else enters the equation (USC is +1200 and fourth on the national title board).

FanDuel has Georgia at +180, Alabama +200 and Ohio State at +300.

Tracing the schedule, it’s not easy to find a challenge for the Bulldogs until Week 9 vs. Florida. But even the Gators aren’t viewed as a major threat.

FrontPageBets takes a look at the weekend that was in football betting.

Road dog comebacks

The Baltimore Ravens were up 35-14 in the fourth quarter and wound up with a loss thanks to Tua Tagovailoa channeling Dan Marino in the final 15 minutes. Tagovailoa, who threw two first-half picks, had six touchdown passes and the Miami Dolphins went for 42 points to nearly hit the total (43.5 on their own). Baltimore -3.5 was a popular bet on Sunday at FanDuel and DraftKings.

Other favorites coughed up late leads — and hit the over — with the New York Jets edging the Cleveland Browns, 31-30, by overcoming a 13-point deficit with just over two minutes to play and the Arizona Cardinals (-6.5) taking the Las Vegas Raiders to overtime before an outright win that snapped the well-loved under bet.

As a live bet underdog of more than +1400 trailing 23-7 in the fourth quarter, the Cardinals’ improbable 29-23 victory broke a few hearts on the under 51.5.

Survivor mode

The Indianapolis Colts are 0-1-1 overall and a decisive 0-2 ATS this season on the road against AFC South opponents. They were also the fourth most popular pick in the Circa Sports survivor pool but Sunday’s loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars, 24-0, paves the way for Indianapolis to return home as 6.5-point underdogs to the Kansas City Chiefs.

The Cincinnati Bengals might not have lost ground in the standings with the AFC North going 0-4 on Sunday, but they were also overplayed in survivor pools. Cooper Rush and the Dallas Cowboys (+7) kicked Cincinnati where it hurts in a 20-17 loss. Now the defending AFC champions hit the road to meet the 1-1 Jets and are just 4.5-point favorites.

That’s big

DraftKings reported a big bet winner on Thursday with the Los Angeles Chargers covering +4.5 at Kansas City to net the winner $633,100.

One bettor at BetMGM made straight bets of $250,000 on these four spread outcomes and three already cashed with a total potential winnings of $2.12 million:
